The holidays have passed and as a new architecture student, I learned that relatives near and far want to send architecture books as gifts. It makes sense: there’s an abundance of architecture books out there and everyone loves a large-format book with pretty pictures. So, I received a few architecture books over the holidays. But, the one I was most excited about was an El Croquis featuring the work of SANAA 2008-2011.
It’s true that El Croquis is available for free at the library but sometimes you need it for more than 2 hours. And, thankfully, we won’t all be students forever, so it may make sense to slowly build up a little library. As a broke student, the real point of the story is that architecture students get El Croquis for 25% off! No, it’s not free. But it’s cheaper… and cheaper is good.
I can’t stop thumbing through this book and I’m scheming about the next issue I should pick up.
